OFFICIAL MANDATORY GEAR UPDATE

Below is the official mandatory gear ruling for each distance at Tarawera Ultramarathon by UTMB. Remember, this is the MINIMUM gear required, and if you would usually take more gear on a run of this distance then you still should.

TUMMiler: All gear must be carried from start. Mandatory Gear must be checked pre-race in order to check-in.

TUM102: All mandatory gear must be carried if you are departing the Village Green Aid Station after 2pm. Runners do not need to carry their mandatory gear up to this point, or if they depart the Village Green before 2pm. Mandatory Gear must be checked pre-race in order to check-in.

Bachcare TUM50: Headlight must be carried if leaving Lake Tikitapu (Blue Lake) Aid Station after 4pm. Leave in drop bag.

TUM21: No gear required
